Wednesday 21st January - walk * – Around Felixstowe – cloudy with
light rain.
After yesterdays windsurf foil in the winter sunshine I decided to give
today a miss as rain forecast to fall all day, in the ended it was worse
first thing then stopping or only drizzle but remained gloomy all day so
was not disappointed to miss another session, my enthusiasm is on the wane
a little, must be my age:) A windsurfing mate came to fit a plug socket for
us so after a word with him I headed out in the van to take some weather
pics, I am addicted and need help I think:) I headed down to Felixstowe
Ferry to snap sad golfers out inn the wet and saw one kite surfer out inn
the puddle near the Martello tower, that lagoon seems to be getting smaller
and smaller! Breakfast, sort out photos, quick lunch and with only light
drizzle Mag and I set off for an afternoon stroll. A quick stop at Lidl,
through Langer and out onto the blustery prom near the Regal. It was pretty
miserable on the seafront with a good breeze from the south causing some
big waves to beak up the beach! We watched them on the pier for a bit with
loads of gulls looking for titbits in the surf! Then up Bent Hill for
something in the town before heading for home. We enjoyed the warming cuppa
and fruit bread and it was nice to see Aisling back on ITV’s About Anglia
and was chuffed she used one of my pics from yesterday on the weather!
